Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about concrete pumping equipment and services in New Zealand.

There are several types of concrete pumps, including:

  • Boom pumps – truck-mounted with an extendable placing boom for overhead pumping applications.
  • Line pumps – usually trailer or truck mounted units allowing for concreting delivery line or hose to lay on the ground when carrying out low / moderate pressure pumping applications.
  • Stationary pumps – similar in design to line pumps, usually trailer mounted - higher output / higher pressure machines-ideal for high-rise or long-distance applications.
  • Mortar and grout pumps – for conveying specialised applications involving specific mortar / grout mix designs.

Choosing the right pump depends on your project size, access, and material type.

The best pump depends on:

  • Site access and space constraints
  • Pour volume and reachable distance
  • Type of concrete or mix design
  • Project scale (residential vs commercial)

Our team can recommend the right equipment based on your specific job requirements.
